Weekly Mindfulness Meditation Sits at the Jewish Mindfulness Center of St. Louis
Monday Evenings, 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.
Almost every Monday evening throughout the year, the Jewish Mindfulness Center of St. Louis will offer the opportunity to participate in a weekly meditation sit. Led by members of the Jewish Mindfulness Center’s core team, these sessions are appropriate for beginning and advanced practitioners. Each sit will begin with a short teaching focusing on the weekly Torah portion, an upcoming holiday or a particular middah (Jewish value or ethical personality trait). Participating in community sits can inspire us in our unique meditation practices, and we know that spending time in silence in the presence of community can be deeply gratifying. All are welcome to these free community sessions. We hope that you will join us.
Wednesdays from 12 – 12:45 p.m.
September 4, 11, 18, and 25
During the month of Elul (the Hebrew month preceding Rosh Hashanah), it is traditional to spend some dedicated time in silent contemplation and reflection each day. All are welcome to join Rabbi Goldstein for four special Elul meditation sits focusing on themes of the upcoming High Holidays including impermanence, prayer, repentance and forgiveness. No previous meditation experience is necessary. Join for as many of these free sessions as you are able. RSVP appreciated. Walk-ins welcome as well.
